ABSOLUTELY the BEST! Ned the owner, made things happen for me. I appreciate his honesty and the pride that goes behind their work.First off, my brothers truck was towed to oakland alameda tire because IT DIED. Ned quoted me a fair price for a remanufactured engine with a warranty, etc. He had the most reasonable price. He had worked on the truck in the past and had planned to transfer all the useablenewly replaced parts on to the new engine. It's a 1989 toyota pickup...so it was bound to have ISSUES! lolHe coordinated the TOW of our pickup from Alameda to his shop in Belmont. Definitely a ONE STOP SHOP! He made it as easy for me as possible. He communicated well especially if other things needed attention.It is absolutely wonderful to know a mechanic I can trust! Not to mention their shop is AAA rated and EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN!

My experience was great. I called around 1:30 to see if I could schedule an appointment to replace my front head light. He said fine, come in an hour. I was so happy, because I needed to go out that night, and I couldn't without a headlight. It took about 15 or 20 minutes and they were done. One very happy customer. Susan Levy

Have taken my car in for brakes, oil changes, checking out damage, etc. Ned is great--always honest & helpful. Yesterday, I had Darrel look at my bumper, which had been hit. He assured me it still had integrity & advised me not to worry about it. They are great.

They were very helpful. I couldn't make my 9:30 appointment, so they changed it to 12:30. It was done in an hour. I was very impressed.

This was my first visit to 5 Star Auto. I was very pleased with the customer service. I would take my car back for future servicing! Super friendly, very quick smog check, clean and pleasant waiting area. 5 Star, for sure!

This guys are the best. They took me in when my car broke down, gave me a ride home & picked me up.They explained all charges clearly & price was fair. i would highly recommend 5 star to everyone.

I can't stress enough that if you don't trust your Mechanic shop you don't know if you're getting what you need or if there padding the bill. Bottom line is Five Star is the most trust worthy auto repair facility I have come across. Ned is always forthright and gives you options. If it's bad news, he tries his best to see what he can do to make the price a bit more palatable. Thanks Five Star! Great job again.

Good prompt service and pointed out rear wheel wear as well as dirty transmission oil. Did not "push" to change it but merely mentioned it to me. Good Job.
