To top it off the service they provide is excellent and the owner is always there to make sure everyone is taken care of, the old fashion customer service you rarely see anymore.

I want to thank 5 Star Auto Service for doing such a great job on my car. The dealership has been giving me the run around with the condition of my brakes, shocks and struts for the last 4 months. During the week of Christmas I brought in my car to 5 Star and they a fixed up my car so that it runs like it was new. When it comes to the big repairs 5 Star is where I go for service.

My truck's service engine soon light came on and was driving rough so i tried the dealer first, mistake. They treated my like I was an irritant and wanted to overcharge me for diagnostics and acted like it would be a favor if they could squeeze me in--no thanks! 5 Star, where I should have gone to first, were reasonable about diagnostics, interested in my business, and did the repair too. All on a Saturday. I was treated fairly, and with professionalism by people who want my business. Well, they have it now.

ABSOLUTELY the BEST! Ned the owner, made things happen for me. I appreciate his honesty and the pride that goes behind their work.First off, my brothers truck was towed to oakland alameda tire because IT DIED. Ned quoted me a fair price for a remanufactured engine with a warranty, etc. He had the most reasonable price. He had worked on the truck in the past and had planned to transfer all the useablenewly replaced parts on to the new engine. It's a 1989 toyota pickup...so it was bound to have ISSUES! lolHe coordinated the TOW of our pickup from Alameda to his shop in Belmont. Definitely a ONE STOP SHOP! He made it as easy for me as possible. He communicated well especially if other things needed attention.It is absolutely wonderful to know a mechanic I can trust! Not to mention their shop is AAA rated and EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN!
